About NSS

The National Service Scheme is an active program run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, aimed at the personality development of the youth of the nation. NSS is a voluntary service where students work diligently to benefit society as a whole.

Establishment in Patna College

The National Service Scheme was initiated at Patna College on 13th February 1973. The main objective of the scheme is to foster an empathetic attitude and compassion towards the needs of deprived sections of society. Students are required to complete 120 hours of work under this scheme each session.
