Patna College is a historical monument, established by the Dutchess. It was built in the 17th century. This building had only one room which was and is still standing tall in its dimension and measurement as 98 feet long, 23 feet and 6 inches wide.
It showcases the old legacy of the college and accommodates a large number of students in the Seminar Hall. In its time, it was the largest hall in the city of Patna.
The first session of the first Legislative Council of Bihar and Orissa was held on the 20th of January, 1912. The Seminar Hall is located on the first floor of the main building. This hall was beautifully furnished and all the furniture were made of the top quality teak and sal wood. All the major programs of the college were organized in this multipurpose hall. On the 20th of January, 2012, it completed its hundred years of the Bihar Legislative Council and a one-day program was again organized by the state government in this seminar hall.
